Black Ops 2 Zombies

So are you pumped yet!?  No well you should be.  Any Call of Duty Zombies fan should be super excited.  They haven't released any zombies information yet but they are having a world premiere on September 26th. Just 3 days away.  They have released a small teaser trailer, but it doesn't really give any information about the game.  From what I gather from the trailer however is that the zombies seem to be clothed in patient robes as if they were from a hospital or possibly insane asylum.  The bus seems interesting, maybe replacing the teleporters.  I guess we will just have to wait until 09/26/2012 to find out!!!!  Check out the videos I have found below and don't forget to check out my sponsors.

The Last of Us - the new apocalypse scenario

The Last of Us is a post-apocalyptic that has a different twist then other apocalypse games.  The game is set 20 years after a fungus, not a virus, infects the brains of humanity, killing the infected and reanimating their dead bodies.  Now this may sound like another zombie rip-off, but the fungus in the game is based off of a real fungus that infects ants and kills the insect.  The fungus is called Cordyceps.  It then takes over the ants body to sprout and spore more fungus.  Now the fact that this game is based loosely off a real world probability of a real apocalypse is..well...nice.  Basically in the end, nature takes its own land back.  The rest of humanity is governed by the Military in Quarantine zones.

So you are given control of a character named Joel, a black market dealer that deals weapons within the quarantine zones.  According to many videos that I have seen, an unexpected event takes place that has Joel making a promise to one of his life long friends, that he will take care of this little girl Elllie.  She is a 14 year old girl that was born after the collapse of civilization.  All she knows is inside the quarantine zone.  After the unexplained event Joel and Ellie leave the quarantine zone trekking across America while being pursued by the Military.  Their mission is unclear as they traverse across overgrown cities taken back by nature.  Along the way the come across scavengers that live in the wilderness and attack people they find wandering about. They also come across the Infected, the zombie like creatures that have been infected by the fungus.  Like zombies these creatures are run on the basic desire to feed, and what better meal then people!

So after watching lots of videos of this game, that is exclusively for the PS3, I can say that I would buy a PS3 just for this game.  The game looks amazing!  The processing power of the ps3 allows the game to have these gorgeously fallen apart cities.  Overgrowth of trees and plants every where.  Cars and debris litter the streets.  The game seems to be very open with exploration, which allows you to have multiple ways of assessing a situation.  Also you can search for supplies among the debris and the fallen bad guys.  Confrontations with the Scavengers make moving about the environment important, allowing for flanking and sneaking up behind these baddies.  These bad guys are really bad and aggressive.  In one scene from the E3 gameplay Joel is knocked to the ground when a scavenger tries to push Joel's head on to a shard of glass.  Combat is a combination of melee and shooting, but bullets are scarce.   According to Naughty Dog, firing a gun is a good way to announce your presence which will alert more bad guys.
I don't know much more about this game other then what I can gather from the videos I have seen, but I can say this game is worth waiting for.   My only disappointment is that it is a PS3 title only.  So us Xbox fans will be left in the dark with this amazing title.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Adventure

Fans of the Lord of the Rings trilogy books and movies alike, are probably drooling all over with the upcoming hit, the Hobbit.  This movie will cover the time before the Lord of the Rings.  It follows Bilbo on his adventure with Gandalf and 13 other Dwarves.  This movie, like the LOTRO movies, will be an epic tale.  It will be 2 separate movies.  Directed by the great Peter Jackson, the Hobbit will take us on a tale of epicness that will span generates before Frodo and The great Ring of Power.  We will return to many locations such as Rivendell and go further into locations like the Misty Mountains that were only talked about in the Lord of the Rings.  Movie goers will discover how exactly the Ring came into the possession of Bilbo in the first place, from the horrid creature Golem.  Readers of the book series  will probably not be surprised by much that takes place in the movie but it will be wonderful to finally see the this epic tale on the big screen.

Dragon's Dogma

Now here is a title that deserves a lot more attention then it received.  Dragon's Dogma is an action-rpg title with free roam world that feels like an MMO.  I think this game just so happen to slip under the radar of many gamer's.  Capcom's Dragon's Dogma is a fantasy rpg that has many elements of free roam rpg with the twists and perks of a hack-and-slash combat game where you will be fighting many mythological creatures.  I have only played the demo for this game, however, I feel this game is a must buy for any rpg fan (if you have finished Skyrim yet, that is).
The game starts with a simplistic character creator where you can modify the physical appearance of your character and class selection.  You also get to customize your fist Pawn and its class.  The class selection is modest at the beginning, being able to choose from 3 base classes which are Fighter, Stryder and Mage.  Later you will be able to progress your classes and get to the advanced classes which are Warrior, Sorceror, and Ranger.  Eventually you will get the hybrid classes which allow you to combine skills from different classes to make Mystic Knight, Magic Archer, and Assassin.  Instead of the classic ranger attacks, a Magic Archer can fire Ricocheting mystic bolts that will bounce of objects striking many enemies at once.  Also a powerful sorceror can launch powerful attacks such as a Maelstrom, which is basically a powerful tornado that picks up and bashes bad guys around like rag-dolls.  Like most RPG's once you have created your class your kind of stuck in that class until the end right?  Not here.  Dragon's Dogma will allow players to change classes to whatever while they are playing.  Tired of casting spells and magic, how about shooting mystic arrows, or smashing bad guys with a big hammer.  Yeah, you can do that.
The story line is very easy to follow,  you meet a dragon and takes your characters heart,  now you hunt dragon and reclaim your heart, see simple.  If
your a story driven gamer then this may not suit you, but the the additional side quests should have you plenty to do with over 70+hours with just side quests.  Jumping right into the game, I notice how smooth the movements are and the controls are very responsive, unlike some rpgs that I have played that left me smashing the button a dozen times to make one slashing move.  The controls are simple as well, allowing you to use many different skills easily and quickly.  A lot of rpg games combat may have you embarrassingly slashing a Giants legs for 20mins until his health drops and you win.  In Dragon's Dogma, combat is much more involved. Each baddie has a week spot and you can jump and climb to the top of that Giant and stab at its neck until you achieve victory.  At one point I jumped and grabbed onto a Griffin that was flying through the air while I performed attacks hanging from its back.  This is something that reminds me of another great game, Shadows of the Colossus.  The skills that you obtain later in the game are also very unique.  When you use a lightning spell it isn't merely a little lightning strike, its a massive bolt of lighting that projects from the sky with such power it feels intense.  Also a meteor storm attack that rains down 10 meteors that strike the enemy from the sky are awe inspiring.   Most of the creatures you fight in this game are mythological creatures such as Griffins, giants, harpys, chimera, and the multi-headed hydra.
Dragon's Dogma may not be a MMOrpg or even have an online co-op, but with its Pawns feature you get the sense that you are playing with other real players.  The Pawns are characters that you pick up along the way (the first you get at character creation) that are very useful.  The Pawns can give you hints of nearby loot, quest locations, and tell you where an enemy is most vulnerable.  The online aspect of Dragon's Dogma allows you to send your Pawn to another Rift which allows your pawn to be used by other players online and vice versa.  When the Pawn is returned he/she will have more knowledge and experience.  Pawns are extremely useful in combat, they allow for healing and buffing, or they can deal great amounts of damage.  This is a good change from most rpg's where I usually get frustrated with my useless do-nothing AI companions.
After my time with Capcom's Dragon's Dogma,  I was very much impressed.  They took some old ideas from several different classes and genres of games mashed them together and voila!  Capcom was able to throw some new and interesting twists on a fading genre of game and make it exciting again.  My only fear is that this game will fly under the radar and be missed by most gamer's because of all the blockbuster games that are coming out.  I can't wait to get my own copy of the game.  If you have played the game I would love to hear some feedback and let me know what you think.  Leave comments and don't forget my sponsors.

Here we go.

Ok so I've been gone for a few days but I promise that I have some games to review, some new some old.  And my take on Battlefield 3.  yes that's right I finally broke down, traded in a bunch of games, and bought Battlefield 3.  My review of it later.

Resident Evil 6

I still remember the first time playing the resident evil games.  I was in my early teens and it was about midnight and me and my friend had all the lights off, and boom!  A zombie crashed through the window, in the game of course.  Resident Evil 6 is actually going to be the 26th game in the Resident Evil series.  This addition to the series promises to be a return to the magic that made the first Resident Evil's so famous.  Capcom is coming up with a way to bring all the good things from the original games and adding new twists.  This will be the first ever Resident Evil game where Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfield star in the same game.  Also thrown into the mix is Jake Muller, son of the late Alex Wesker.  Capcom is going to be showing off some new environments with RE6.  All 3 of the main characters will have their own storyline, but will converge in the main setting of China.  And finally, in RE6 zombies will be returning, but with a few twists.  These are not going to be the same zombies we saw in the RE4 or RE5, they will hold more true to the original zombies.  They will, however, be able to run and jump at you, and they will mutate which will change the fight all together.
As a fan of the survival-horror series, Resident Evil, I was looking forward to the day when I could run and shoot at the same time.  Well now according to Capcom, that is one of the updates to the new controller setup.  You will be able to run and shoot, as well as slide and shoot up at your enemy and duck behind cover.  Even with these changes to the controller scheme, Capcom says it will not be a run-and-gun type shooter.  It will still involve action sequences that keep you on edge.  Capcom also claims to have moved a little a way from the survival-horror aspect of the game to more of horror as and entertainment aspect, which is what the game is really about.
The games release date has been pushed back till November of 2012, which is not really surprising.  The latter part of the year is always when the best games come out.   I'm really excited to see how this chapter of the Resident Evil saga pans out.  I'm also just really excited to hear that creepy voice at the start of the game to say "Resident Evil...6". LOL.

I'm Back!!

I don't know what else to say...If you didn't like the first Expendables then I'm pretty sure your brain dead.  The Expendables 2 takes what Stallone did in the first movie and then makes it so much more!  The Expendables 2 is going to be an action super star extravaganza!  I haven't been this excited to see a bang-bang shoot-em up movie since the newest Rambo.  This movie has every action star that has been around since the '80's.  Sylvester Stallone is one my all time favorite actors so I get very excited when he comes out with a new movie, but this movie has the best action stars, past and present.  Jason Statham (Transporter, Crank) is one of the hottest action stars around, followed closely by Jet Li (Lethal Weapon 4, Hero), and both of them will star in this epic movie of movies!  This is going to be a testosterone filled Man movie.  This time around it looks like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis are going to have major roles.  And tell me you didn't get chills when Arnold said "I'm back" in the trailer?  And if the addition of the great Chuck Norris and Jean Claude Van damme isn't enough then well I think should see a psychiatrist.

Game over man!!! Colonial Marines

When I first saw that they were coming out a with new game based off of one of my most favorite scifi series movies Aliens, I was a little stand-offish.  There have been many adaptations of the Aliens movies for videos games dating back to the SNES.  I have played every last one, and honestly, was disappointed by all.  When Alien vs Predator came out in 2010 I was very excited.  Finally they had released a game worthy to have the same title of the excellent Aliens saga.  Then with the recent announcement of Aliens: Colonial Marines, all I can say is, YES!  After days of research and watching video after video, I can say, this is going to be the best Aliens game yet.
The game was announced back in 2008 with a 2009 release, however, it sat on Sega's back burner for some time so they could release Borderlands and Duke Nukem.  Now the game is back on and is set to release in the Spring of 2012, so, soon hopefully, lol.
While watching the videos the thing that stands out most to me the most is the sounds.  The sounds of the Aliens screeching, the blast of the pulse rifles, the tell tale pinging of the motion sensor, I felt like I was watching the movie.  Having the Xenomorphes pop-out just about anywhere makes it as intense as the movie is.  Publisher Sega with developer Gearbox Software, is right on the mark with this.  They have been working directly with creative directors of Aliens and 21st century Fox studios to be as accurate as possible.
The game is taking place after the the 3rd Aliens movie.  You play as a Colonial Marine sent back to LV-426  as a search and rescue mission.  You  find the abandoned U.S.S. Sulaco in orbit around LV-426. Eventually you make your way down to the planet looking for survivors, mainly Lt. Ripley and Corp. Hicks.  The game takes you right in the middle of Hadley's Hope, yes its still there even after the power reactor exploded, where the movie Aliens took place.  Watching the video you can see very recognizable items and places from the movies such as the facehuggers in the specimen jars, and the map that they used in the movie to find the "civi's".   From the motion sensors to the remote sentry turrets, this game looks to stick very close to the Aliens model from the movie.  With out much more information about the game or even more leaked videos, I can't be sure of many details as of right now.  I do know there will be a multiplayer.  The game will have four player co-op online with drop-in/drop-out during the campaign.  No solid details have been released for online multiplayer, however, Gearbox has hinted at a "Aliens vs. Marines" style online multiplayer.  One thing I notice on the video of the game play, is that it had no HUD, which in my opinion would make the game a little more exciting and fun with just your gun, ammo counter and the pinging sound of the motion sensor.  I'm hoping to take on the alien Queen just so I can say  "Get away from her you bitch!"  (you would get that if you have seen the movie)
Well I can't wait to get my pulse rifle on, and maybe some acid blood action.  So Marine, get ready to blast some Xenomorphes.  Stay frosty!

The First Beta Weekend for Guild Wars 2 over.

Well, if you were a pre-purchaser for guild wars 2 then you were lucky enough to have gotten a beta code for the this past weekends beta event for the upcoming Guild Wars 2.  I have watched many videos of people playing the beta and some reviews of what people think so far.  I'm hoping they will eventually launch a public beta or at least have another raffle for beta codes like they did before.  I see myself buying this game before any game in the new future.  I'm still stuck on Lord of the Rings Online right now, so we'll see if Guild Wars can draw me away (maybe).  So if you have played the Beta and would like to share experience, please post some comments here.  I would love to hear directly from someone who participated.  thanks again.

Call of Duty Black Ops 2 revealed!!!

So, here it is, as promised, in all its glory.  The first Official Black Ops 2 trailer!!!!

So  let me hear your opinions, rants, raves, what ever you want to say, let me hear it!  I'll post my official break down of the trailer later.  Please comment and don't forget to follow my blog.

Official Release Date of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2

Well according to several sources, one being the official call of duty UK website, Call of Duty Black Ops 2 has a release date of November 13th of this year.  http://www.g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/post/723329/call-of-duty-black-ops-2-release-date-announced/   No official trailer has been released yet, but the world Premiere is said to be released tonight during the NBA Playoffs.  So, even though I won't be watching the game I will be watching for the trailer.  I will keep you up to date.  According a to a few leaked sources, the game will take place in a "21st century Cold War, where technology and weapons have converged to create a new generation of warfare."  The few screenshots I have seen so far look fairly impressive.  It appears to me that not only is it going to be taking place in the near future but will also take place on American soil, as seen in the picture of a helicopter flying towards a war-torn Los Angeles. So please follow my blog if you wish to be kept informed.   Look forward to me posting the trailer as soon as it airs.

Black Ops 2 possible release date leaked....

Just in case you haven't heard  (and if you haven't, you are probably dead), Activision developer, Treyarch, has been rumored to be working on the next release in the line of Call of Duty games.  Call of Duty Black Ops 2 has been rumored to being in production since a French version of Amazon "accidentally" released a pre-order for COD Black Ops 2.  Since then speculation has been whether it was true.  Well now its being said that Treyarch is going to release details on the upcoming game on May 1st.    A release date has been leaked by several sources, and a picture of pre-order card was taken by an IGN magazine reader.
So when is the game being released?  No one know for sure, BUT the rumor is that the game is being released on November 6th.  Like all other Call of Duty games before it will release just in time for a Holiday season, attempting to bring in as much money as possible.  Personally, I am a huge fan of the COD series and I think that Black Ops was one of the best Titles released under the name sine the first Modern Warfare.  Everything seems to counting on the release of information by Treyarch on May 1st.  so hears looking at you Treyarch, don't let us down (achoo-infinityward).     As always, please comment and follow.  and click on my sponsors.

Guild Wars 2 Beta weekend...for those lucky ones.

For those lucky enough to have pre-ordered Guild Wars 2 or lucky enough to have received a Beta code, this weekend is the Beta open.  You will have the chance to play 3 of the different races.  Those lucky few will be able to experience the world of Tyria before the masses.  I said it before and I'll say it again,  if you don't play mmo's, you should and you need to play this game.   More updates later.... please post comments and follow.

If you haven't seen gameplay of the new Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, one question,  what the hell is wrong with you?!  This game looks amazing.  And anyone with a Kinect should be extremely excited for the new Gunsmith section of the game.  Finally we can use our hands to customize our guns for the game.  Hopefully its as addictive as this trailer says it too be. And to be able to customize your gun on your computer and on your phone, so when you get home you can use that gun online, just epic..  More on this game later.

Medal of Honor: Warfighter, shooting blanks?

Developer Danger Close is bring out their next installment of their revival of the Medal of Honor series.  The first Medal of Honor promised so much in the ways of combat and as a fps.  I personally bought the game the day it came out expecting to be blown away by epic graphics and awe inspiring explosions.  The game did delivery in the way of sense of feeling like real combat scenarios unlike some fps's that are out there, cough cod.  I felt like they left a lot to be desired.  The weapon customization wasn't nearly what I thought it would be and the map selection was poor.  The idea of play real-life soldiers in a actual real-world places in events that actually took place was the hook that drew me in.  Now it looks like Danger Close is looking to hook me again continuing on the roles of Preacher, Mother and Voodoo throwing them in some more of the real-world scenarios.   Danger Close is taking pages, literally right out of the book.  They are using scenarios right out of, what Tier 1 operators call their "vent book,"  which is basically a journal from these special forces that recap the missions from across the globe.  So jumping into these roles of Tier 1, will give you a feeling of authenticity.
Now visually the game is shaping up to look amazing.  Graphics that look and feel like the first MoH and even like Battlefield 3, Danger Close is using the Frostbite 2 engine for graphics and the demolition.  Now unlike Battlefield 3, buildings will not crumble and walls will not be destroyed by explosions, at least not yet, however, bullets do chew through you cover leaving you exposed, destroying just about everything else that is in the area.  Dice will not be doing the multiplayer in this release, Danger Close will be taking that on themselves, which may make for a better experience.  Little details have been released about multiplayer, either rank progression, weapon customization and such.  Exec. producer Greg Goodrich, has stated that the game is inspired by the  FIFA game model.  What?!  That's what I said.  The idea is National pride.  Not everyone in the world wants to play as a US Navy Seal.  The game is going to include 11 different special forces groups from around the world, including the British SAS or Polish GROM.    Multiplayer will be a switch because you no longer be facing real world terrorists like the Taliban (which got the first MoH in trouble).  You will face eachother as one of the 11 worldwide special forces teams, pitting the elite verses the elite.  I plan on checking this game out soon after the release which has not yet been revealed.  I still think I will stick to Battlefield 3, though Danger Close is trying to get their name in the big shooter game genre with Warfighter.

Guild Wars 2, finally here!

ArenaNet first revealed Guild Wars 2 over 5 years ago.  It is one of the most anticipated MMO's for the last several years.  Since then players of the first game have been waiting patiently on the edge of their seats for this MMO,  that is going to be epic beyond the word.  I have been following this game for several years now and the anticipation of knowing the game is coming out this year, is killing me.  For MMO fans, you better stock up on your favorite snack and get some energy drinks, because you will not want to put this one down.  The graphics are stunning and the professions and races look to make gameplay any MMO fan happy.  All races have no profession restrictions, so everyone race you pick you can still pick any profession/class you want.  The races will go as follows:
The Sylvari, a plant-based life form that resembles elves from other races.
The Norn, a race of shape-shifting barbarians of the frozen lands.
The Charr, large feline-like race, strong and pride-full.
The Asura, this small subterranean race is know for their intelligence and magic.
The Humans, an embattled race that has lost much of their own land to other races.
All five races will have access to all the different professions, mesmer, engineer, thief, guardian, necromancer, ranger, warrior, and elementalist.  During character creation you also get to choose your own lore, by choosing specific events or deeds you can start with, which will have an impact on how your story plays out through out the game.  All races start in their own home worlds within a shard.  The active combat is going to make this game stand out in a big way.  Unlike most  MMO's the standard of standing there exchanging blows back and forth is not a huge part of this game.  You will be able to dodge and roll away from enemies avoiding their attacks and block attacks with enemies if you have a shield equipped.  Another awesome aspect of combat is the skill sets.  Changing out weapons, say two handed sword for a short sword and shield, will change out the basic skills you can use.  ArenaNet has also done away with the typical healer/tank/damage roles that many classes play in the typical MMO.  In Guild Wars 2, every person will be self sufficient, meaning they will be able to tank, deal damage and apply self healing.  Different skills, including healing skills can be setup as an auto-attack skill.  All professions are self supporting. Team work will benefit players a great deal.  For instance, if a player casts a wall of fire barrier for protection, then all ranged attacks passing through the wall will deal fire damage.
For PvP players, zone control battles will happen every two weeks according to ArenaNet.  They have created PvP maps "as big as our models could handle."  Their will be large 12 on 12 battles domination style.  Every two weeks each Shard will face another in PvP battles.
As far as events go, questing will be fairly straight forward, however their will be zone-wide events.  One instance being, if town in your area is under attack you can choose to help or ignore it.  Later on though, the town will be over taken and you must help to take it back by battling the enemy back.

Guild wars 2 has been teasing gamers for over 5 years, finally we will be able to get our hands on it.  GW2 will be free to play, after initial purchase of the game of course, continuing their successful business model of GW1. There will be no beta for the masses but there are plenty of videos out there.  ArenaNet promises a 2012 release.  Though no official release date is set, you can pre-order your copy now.  I know I plan on it.  Check out some of the videos here, and follow my blog and please check out my sponsors.

Halo 4, Its good to be the Chief.

Halo 4 is the next installment of the most beloved and recognizable game franchises, with the return of Master Chief  and his smart (and sexy), AI companion, Cortana.  Microsoft has created a new development team called 343 Industries to be "the wardens of the franchise."  Bungie, the original developer of the previous Halo games has broken away from Microsoft to pursue a new project with Activision, more on that later.  343 Industries looks to be making some good improvements so far in the game.  I haven't seen any screenshots yet, its looking like Chief is getting some bulky improvements.   The guns have been remodeled to look completely different, the changes are amazing.  The battle rifle a will be returning with a few "upgrades" according to 343.  The HUD is going to have a few tweaks.  343 is trying to make you feel like the powerful soldier that is the Master Chief.
343 Industries is make a direct continuation of Halo 3, beginning right were we left Master Chief, in cryo sleep on the burning wreckage of the Forward Unto Dawn.  The game will pick up as Cortana awakes Chief saying his name, John.  To me this shows that the relationship between Cortana and Chief is a little closer then it was before.  According to 343, the Dawn has come upon a planet that will harbor a race known as the Forerunners.  This race is responsible for the creation of the Halo array.  This along with the Covenant will be the main antagonist in Halo 4.  The campaign is going to discover an all new planet and the new Forerunner race, but will be more drawn to the relationship that has formed between Cortana and Chief.  Cortana will begin her degradation process, a process that all AI begin to reach after their 7 year life span.  Not a whole lot of details have been released for the campaign side of Halo 4, but the multiplayer seems to be the biggest improvements, or changes, they have made.
Multiplayer is going to have a full back story and will intersect with the campaign of Master Chief and will explain why the red Spartans fight the blue Spartans.  You be playing as the new Spartan IV, a shiny new upgraded version.  The Spartan IV's will be customizable much more then before, but to what extent, we are still not sure.  The multiplayer will take place on a ship called the USNC Ifinity. The multiplayer will take place in a "holo deck" style battlefield, similar to the holo deck on Star Trek or danger room from X-Men.  They are introducing a new mode called Spartan OPS.  It will play out like a tv series, with new "episodes" every 2 weeks.    If you miss an episode, don't worry because it will be possible to start at the beginning even though you have missed a few weeks worth of episodes. There will be a rank progression similar to COD according to some sources including armour upgrades and abilities.  Weapon attachments were rumored, however, nothing has been confirmed yet.  343 Industries has stated that no foreseeable beta will be available, which will ruffle some feathers for gamer's.  Everyone knows that the best way to get feedback and to make a game better is to test it, and what better way to test it then with the direct audience. Whether your a Halo die-hard or maybe just a FPS fan I think this game is going to be a step in the right direction for the next Halo.  Check out some of the videos here:

The Mass Effect Ending....what?!

So I have yet to be able to pick up my copy for Mass Effect 3 (monetary problems), but I have been hearing this controversy over the games ending.  Now some gamers are actually petitioning that Bioware change the ending or add content that will allow the gamers to change the ending they way they want.  Now to me this seems a little foolish.  Bioware has made the ending of the game they saw fit, just because the gamers do not agree with the ending doesn't mean that the company should change it.  This in my opinion would damage the artistic integrity of the company.  Bioware has brought us on this long and interesting story and now they have ended how they see fit.  Hopefully I won't pick up any spoilers along the way, but I don't see the point of getting upset over the ending.  Not since the TV show Lost ended in the controversial way that the show was known for, have I seen a following reprimand a company for not giving them what they wanted.  The artistic direction of game is not for the gamers too decide but for us to either experience they way the game creators intended.  Would an artist who painted a masterpiece change it because of a few critiques?  I think not.  Video games, much like art, have to take a creative direction in order to capture the audience.  Bioware has captured its audience through a masterfully written story line and characters that have captured the heart and minds of gamer's the world over.Shouldn't the artists have  the control of which direction the piece should go?  Possibly changing the vision that Bioware had for this game could have an impact on future game development.  Game developers have always listened closely to fan-based feedback to make games that tailor to the gamer's but to what extent?  Eventually art becomes washed down versions of what was suppose to be created.  I think developers have always listened to the fans and always do their best to make the fans happy with the best solutions.  So it comes to the point of satisfying the upset fans or maintaining artistic integrity.  Whats your opinion?  What should Bioware do to level the situation?  I have heard Bioware is coming out with DLC to compensate and continue the story of Commander Shepard.  Will this win back the hearts of the upset fans?  I know can't wait to get my hands on this game and see what all the fuss is about.

First upcoming reviews

So, since I am fairly new at this and I do not have access to games that are not out yet most of my reviews will consist of currently released games.  I will cover all genres and console types and I will take requests from those of you who have thoughts or are unsure about which game to buy.   I will try my best to keep up-to-date information about new games, other materials, as current as possible.  Lots of gamers always have that problem of not knowing if they should buy this game or that game.  I just had the same problem with deciding on whether or not to buy Modern Warfare 3 or Battlefield 3.  Now I have been a huge Modern Warfare fan, the realism and intense graphics of Battlefield won me over.  To me it was toss up between a run shoot-em up game and a tactical/strategic game.  I will soon purchase Modern Warfare 3, however, the idea of being quick scoped and knifed from ridiculous long ranges was definitely a put off.  I did my research, reading many reviews and countless videos on youtube, but in the end I went with the game that was least liked, Battlefield 3, mainly because it spoke to a side of me that craved realism that is Battlefield.

Another game I am currently playing is a 5 year old MMORpg that is Lord of the Rings Online.  Any of you familiar with the MMO scene this is a spectacular MMO whether your a fan of MMO's or just a fan of the movies.  I have been playing for a little over a year and still enjoy it to this day.  Now, there is a big hitter coming out soon, some of you may know, called  Guild Wars 2. Any of you know this one?  You should, because if you don't, then I will be reviewing and posting as much content on this game as possible.  This stands to be one of the better if not best MMO to date, my opinion of course.
Again thank you for stopping by and I hope to have my first video and reviews up soon.

My up-and-coming blog.

I play a lot of games, and a I love all sorts of genres.  I consider myself a pretty hardcore gamer.  Like most of you who are reading this, I like to read reviews from many sources before I make choices on games.  The goal here is to give a perspective of a true gritty gamer, like yourself, on games that we all want to play or have played.  Lots of you will not agree with my opinions and would probably like to say otherwise and that is fine, my only point is to help educate some people on games and other related topics before they decide on spending money and hours on a game that may not be what they are looking for.  This is the first time I have done anything like this so  I expect and hope for rash and harsh feedback.
